We cannot stress enough the importance of using enzyme supplements, especially for those who partake in the Standard American Diet (SAD), of cooked and denatured food. The underlying cause of so many health issues is improper digestion and enzyme deficiency.  Not just digestive problems, but also:

The reasons we need enzymes:

1. The body can extract maximum nutritional value from food. Overeating could be caused by improper absorption of nutrients, causing us to crave more food which contains nutrients we are lacking.

What are the digestive enzymes? Protease- protein digesters, Amylase- starch digesters, Lipase- fat digesters.

Every protein that enters the body via digestion has to be broken down into amino acids before it can be fully utilized. Meats that are not completely digested contain large protein fragments that cannot benefit the body. They can cause allergic reactions, & can also become trapped in the intestines where they ferment & promote parasite infestation.  Pork is the most difficult meat for the human body to digest, thereby why we are advised not to partake.

Eating large quantities of food is taxing on the body. It is better to eat small quantities of food that are able to be digested and the nutrients of the food are assimilated for us to maintain our health and energy.

Only 8% of the food we consume is metabolized. The remainder passes through undigested. Only 1 - 2% of nutrient value of food we consume reaches our cells.

The foods offered for purchase at the standard supermarket are not always the best choices for nutrient metabolism. Grains are not grown and prepared as they should be for proper digestion in our bodies. In order for grains to be fully digested they must contain a full complement of their natural enzymes. Grain must have time to germinate to have viable enzymes. Sprouted grains have important health giving nutrients.

Fat cells are held in the liver. Pollution converts to fat, this fat releases poisons in our body. Obesity is epidemic. 25% of children are overweight. This is a 33% increase since 1978.
