Liz, The Clary Sage works for me in just a matter of minutes, and works throughout the day. I'm still pre-menopausal, so maybe that's it. But even the older women I've had try it liked the fact that they didn't have the hot flashes for several hours afterwards. I don't know what to say if you're using it and still having the hot flashes. That's my "miracle cure" but I can tell you I don't use the oils without taking the Ningxia Red as well. Could that be the difference, or do you already do that? Or could it be that the Ylang Ylang I take to help control my sugar, could be doing more for my hormones than I realize? You've got me on that one! I can say that I love the side effects of these oils, and just know that the ones I'm taking help me, but I can never tell which oil is actually doing what. Except for when I ran out of Clary Sage, is when I went to the hospital with my hemorrhaging problem and was just diagnosed with the pre-hormonal changes due to the pre-menopause coming on. I started back on the Clary Sage and noticed the major difference. Julie

Hi All,  I've used 3 to 4 drops of fennel on my lower abdomen when I get a hot flash and within a minute the hot flash is gone. Has anyone else experienced this ? Marcy

My medical doc (holistic MD, ND) told me to take Progessence Cream & Sclaressence. I went off the pill & was extremely hormonally imbalanced (which is why I went on the pill to begin with) & I about ripped my husband's head off for breathing & also started with hot flashes. I started using these 2 products & my cycle is regulating & voila-no hot flashes. I think the hot flashes were just a 'reaction' for going off the pill.   Annette

I had a holistic doctor tell me that bleeding could be a woman's way of getting rid of toxins in the body. The oils break down a lot of toxins in your body and you want them to be gone by "normal" cycles, and not bleeding. So I would have to ask you also if you have gone through a total body cleanse as well. I did eat a lot of organic red raspberries.   You can get it at health food stores, and they tell you there that a lot of women take this because it strengthens the woman's female organs for child birth. I'm NOT looking for another child, but started taking it anyway, and it has helped. Also, I would not go without Clary Sage put on the inside of my wrists and rubbed together in the morning and at night. This has helped me tremendously! With any kind of excessive bleeding, it's highly important to keep your Ningxia Red  on hand. Ningxia Red can really snap you out of a dizzy spell from loosing to much blood, so it's important to take it daily for normal health, and keep one of those little individual packets with you at all times.   Julie

One thing I would suggest NOT to do is to have a procedure called a Nova Sure.  I had this and it did help, but not take care of the problem, and the after effects are a nightmare!  Have a great day!  Julie

For several years now I have been dealing with cysts on my ovaries. Every month when I ovulate, the pain is bad to excruciating. Recently I ordered a bottle of "Dragon Time" to help with PMS. I had been only rubbing in on my vital flex points, but yesterday decided to try rubbing some right over my ovary. After about an hour I noticed the pain had been relieved greatly & today I am pain free! This is my first month to do this, so I'll have to try it again next month. I am wondering whether this makes sense to you? Have you heard of "Dragon Time" working to ease the pain of ovarian cysts before?  ~Karin H.

I have taken Thyromin in addition to pharmaceuticals in the past. I found that the Thyromin actually made my thyroid function better, no surprise there! And, I also took vitamins as well. I was on these pharmaceuticals for my thyroid for 32 years! So, from my personal experiences, it is fine to take the Thyromin with both thyroid medication and/or vitamins.

(My thyroid was overactive about 36 years ago, I drank radioactive iodine (!), and then had to take pharmaceuticals as my thyroid became dormant. About 4 years ago, I stopped all pharmaceuticals, and using many supplements and oils, my thyroid is now revived and balanced again!! One day, I will write the whole story, it's been a long process especially healing from the radioactive iodine, it took many, many different oils and supplements, cleansing, and energy work, and I know that I could not have done this without the Young Living oils -- especially Myrrh.)

 

Hello again, my apologies, I forgot to mention diet. Thyroid balancing for me has been complex. I eat organic food only at home and whenever possible elsewhere, too. Plus, there are foods that actually slow down the thyroid and speed up the thyroid ... I believe the foods are called goitragens ... (sp?) and anti-goitragens. For example, peaches slow down the thyroid and kelp/seaweed speeds it up ... I also emphasize muscle testing and learning how to self-test (or dowsing) because I quickly test foods before I eat them to be sure. I hope that helps.

Kami,  Those temps seem low to me.  Remember that Young Living products BRING BALANCE...
If you suspect a thyroid imbalance (and with temps that low, I would agree) I would start on Thyromin.
BTW I also USED to have LOW LOW temps (I surrendered half of my thyroid to malignancy in 2001) and after taking VitaGreen, Thyromin and Cayenne Pepper, my temps are now almost always over 98.1.    Jessica W.

Dear Blessed Oilers,

My Daughter Jessica is almost nine months pregnant, just one week away from her due date. Last week the baby was still in a breach position and her doctor was recommending a C-Section as the possible solution. I had saved and printed your message, "oils and childbirth" from 5/24/06, and we were using some of the oils that Gary Young used with his wife's pregnancy, Myrrh and Lavender, 3 drops with V-6 Mixing Oil, and I also felt the urge to include Gentle Baby so we added that also. This combination also is helping the stretch marks as well, and the V-6 Mixing Oil is such a wonderful healing for the skin, as I have found with my complexion.

I remembered another message posted here about Gary Young using Myrrh in Ecuador to turn a breach child and deliver it safely, so we tried increasing the Myrrh and applying it more often. Within 12 hours we could see and feel that the baby was rotating. My daughter went to bed in the evening and she felt a lot of strong movement from the baby, and the next morning when she woke up I could see that the baby was vertical again, but we didn't know if the baby had returned to the breach position or if it had indeed moved down into the birth position. My daughter had an ultrasound scheduled for that morning in order for the doctor to see what was going on with the baby's breach position, but when they did the ultrasound they could see that the baby had indeed moved into the correct birth position!!!!!! YES!!!!

Now we are focusing on using the oils for labor and pain management so I ordered the oils regarding that from the "oils and childbirth" message that Gary Young used to help his wife's labor pain, Vetiver and Valerian, and also Clary Sage with Peppermint which Gary used to bring on his wife's delivery after she was dilated to 5 cm. We are also going to use the Trauma LIfe and Frankincense to anoint the baby as Gary did. I feel confident that we are prepared for the delivery by having these miraculous oils, but I am also going to take my entire box of oils with me to the hospital birthing room so that I can have all of these oils available to us as we pray for guidance during the labor and
delivery.

I also researched essential oil testimonials and found that a women wrote regarding using Frankincense for her pain and labor contractions and in her own words:
FRANKINSENCE IS SOOOOO AMAZING!!!" She also diffused Frankincense and reported that  "everyone in the room was calm during the labor". Another woman wrote that she diffused "Peace and Calming" with the same results.

My daughter had a miscarriage 2 years ago so my upline recommended that she used Young Living Progesterone cream during the first 4 months to assure maintenance of the pregnancy, since it is a lack of sufficient Progesterone during this time that often causes miscarriage. My daughter had been previously diagnosed with estrogen dominance and pre-menopausal, so it made sense to use the Progesterone. Of course we have no way of knowing for certain if this is why she was able to continue this pregnancy, but since this is safe to use we felt that it was "better safe than sorry".

Unfortunately her miscarriage was so extremely painful that she now has fears of the upcoming labor pain, including the fact that throughout her pregnancy she has been told multiple "horror stories" regarding labor and delivery. However, I am always reminding her that none of these women had the essential oils to help them!!! Also her pain was greatly increased by the synthetic hormone that they gave her at the hospital to expel the placenta, however the placenta did not completely expel anyway. The doctor gave her 24 hours to expel the remaining placental tissue and if not, he was planning to scrape the tissue out the next day. The doctor told us that he hoped not to have to do that since this procedure can cause damage to the uterus and possibly interfere with future pregnancy. I prayed for guidance as to which oil to use to accomplish this and felt that Di-Gize would make this happen although I had never read anywhere of using this oil for this purpose. The beauty of using the oils is that you can try one and if it doesn't accomplish the purpose, you can just go on to the next oil until you get the results you need.

However, while I was contemplating which oil to try next, within an hour my daughter was in the bathroom expelling the placental tissue. So she applied Di-Gize again, and had another expulsion. We continued to apply it just to make certain that no tissue remained, but she did not have any further reactions. When she returned to the doctor the next day, his examination showed no placental tissue remaining in the uterus. He was certain that he was going to have to scrape it out manually, but it was all gone!!!

I also ordered a video from Amazon.com called, "Gentle Birth Choices" which helped my daughter to be more confident about the benefits of natural birthing versus "standard medical procedure". Since these women on this video were able to deliver without any pain medications, my daughter now believes that it is actually possible to accomplish this, especially since these women did not even have the wonderful benefits of the oils. This video also convinced us of the benefits of having the assistance of a doulas or midwife so we found a team of 2 women who work together to be with her and support her needs during the labor and delivery. These women have offered their services free of charge since they are still in their training program. This saved us the normal $600.00 fee which is actually a bargain price for the guidance and assistance that doulas offer, but since we are limited financially this helped us to be able to purchase all of the oils. I highly recommend the "Gentle Birth Choices" video. At 29.95 it was worth every dime, just as doulas and midwifes and YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS are worth every dime!!!

I am hoping that using the oils during the labor and delivery will also become a positive experience and further education for natural birthing procedures for the two doulas who will be present and assisting. Imagine the blessing of these oils that these women could share with others who are dedicated to natural birthing!!!!

I am going to copy all of the information that I have so far mentioned above to give to these doulas when we meet them at the hospital, but I am also needing any other additional information that you would have in your files to give to them in addition to what I already have. I would be very grateful if you could send that to me right away because this baby could arrive at any moment.  I should have requested this information sooner, but it just struck me today that the more information I have for them, the better this opportunity to introduce them to the oils will be.
